I was raised to have great compassion for animals, as I've had many furry companions throughout my life. Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to photograph many of them.
Lucky, the cover boy of this campaign, I feared I had never photographed because he was always so stubborn when it came to posing. So I just never photographed him. Losing him in January of 2024, I feared that I lost my chance forever. My sidekick for 14 years, I would never have a wall portrait worthy image. Fortunately, I had photographed him on a whim as I was testing new lights.
With his loss, I didn't want anyone else to fear that they never took beautiful portraits of their fur babies.
